Base Camp

You are invited to attend BASE CAMP on the weekend of May 3-5, 2024.
Base Camp is a great camp to get Camping Basics under your belt. With a focus on being self reliant and tips on how to care for yourself and your mates in emergency situations, you will come away feeling more confident in preparing for future camps and adventures.
It’s also a great opportunity for Companies who don’t have the capacity for running their own Expedition and Environmental Camps to join Base Camp so boys can earn their badge requirements.
The Camp will begin at 9am on Saturday 3 May. The camp will conclude at 3pm on Monday May 5.
Level 2 – Wheels – You must have completed Level 1 and have a good mountain bike in good mechanical condition (gears and brakes).
Level 3 – Water – You must have completed Level 2 and have good swimming ability.
Base Camp is a self catered camp. An email regarding food and additional equipment will be sent to you prior to the event, with plenty of time for you to prepare. You must also attend with an officer from your Company.
