Base Camp

You are invited to attend the BASE CAMP on the weekend of May 4-6, 2024.
With The Great Canoe Race on May 4th, there will be a later start to Base Camp this year. We will also only be offering Level 1 and Level 2 this year.
Base Camp is a great camp to get Camping Basics under your belt. With a focus on being self reliant and tips on how to care for yourself and your mates in emergency situations, you will come away feeling more confident in preparing for future camps and adventures.
The Camp will begin at 1pm on Saturday 4 May (Leaders to arrive at 10am). The camp will conclude at 3pm on Monday May 6.
Level 2 people – You must have completed Level 1 and have a good mountain bike in good mechanical condition (gears and brakes).
Base Camp is a self catered camp. An email regarding food and additional equipment will be sent to you prior to the event, with plenty of time for you to prepare. You must also attend with an officer from your Company.
