For 140 years, The Boys’ Brigade has been anchored to their object “The Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness”. Our new initiative, Anchored – A dinner event for men, extends our object to men, advancing Christ’s Kingdom among MEN… and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.
We invite you and your fellow men of faith to our first Men’s Dinner on June 24 at Toombul Shire Hall, 1141 Sandgate Rd, Nundah at 6:30pm. The cost is $45. Our speaker will be Reverend Rhys McFadden.
About Rhys:
Rhys is Pastor of Maryborough Baptist Church. With a wealth of pastoral and community engagement experience spanning 30 years and four states, Rhys oversees, develops, supports and equips people with a practical hand on approach to his work. He is creative ‘out of the box’ thinker and noted gifted communicator with a hunger to see people develop a real, authentic, world-changing faith. He has a particular passion to see Men become all they are intended to be and has become an integral part of a Regional Men’s movement in the Wide Bay since taking up his post at Maryborough.
As pastor of Maryborough Baptist, Rhys breathes passion for Jesus. He supports and enables people to make a positive impact in their worlds.
Rhys and his wife Jackie are both the outdoorsy types. They enjoy riding their Harley, driving their 1957 Ford Customline, boating, fishing, 4x4ing, camping, BBQ-ing and caravanning in their leisure times.
